LOCAL PRODUCTS – TYPICAL CUISINE:   There isn’t a local Apulian cuisine, but you will find a cuisine for all tastes, with two or three local dishes – in June we had “Linguine allo scoglio” (typical Italian pasta with seafood – good) and “orecchiette al ragù” (typical little Apulian pasta with tomato sauce – to taste). There are also meat and fish dishes and sandwiches.

LOCATION AND INTERIORS:    Marina Serra is one of the most difficult places to reach, but at the same time is one of the most suggestive of all Salento.  “Lido Piscina” is located closer to a natural sea pools with an amazing view to 180 degrees of the bay. Sunbeds and parasols are limited, so if you want to spend one day in this place (opened from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm) my personal advice is to be here at 9:30/10 am, not later. In July and August there are many tourists. The best period is June and the first ten days of July or September.

PRICES:   8 euros each sunbed (below parasols or pagoda) for all day.

Local dishes – average € 6 /// Meat or Fish dishes – average  € 4-5 each /// Sandwiches – average € 5.

BIKER FRIENDLY:  Two moto-parkings are close to “Lido Piscina” without shade. A little shelter is the tower at 300 mt, but not for all day.
